The beauty of this place has been appreciated for hundreds of years. American Indians lived and hunted here for the abundance of food and water. Later, wagon trains and cattle drives would stop for the cool spring fed refreshment and welcoming shade trees.
After the area was settled this land became known as Loma Linda or "Beautiful Hill". In the 1930's Frank Barron of nearby Palmer, opened Loma Linda to the public for swimming in the cool spring fed water or to picnic under the gigantic shade trees. In the 70's this special place was purchased by Country Music stars George Jones and Tammy Wynette as a site for concerts.
The 1980's found Loma Linda silent once more, it's initial frontier allure largely untouched. The property lay dormant until purchased by Tim Choate' in December 1989. It has been Tim's constant passion and dream for 16 years to reopen Loma Linda.
Anyone and everyone who has ever visited Loma Linda thinks she is the perfect place for any social event. Now, Tim's dream has become reality. Countless generations since it's majestic trees took root, Loma Linda re-opens to offer you an abundance of nature under an intimate canopy of leaves. Loma Linda is ready for the next generation to experience and enjoy this pristine setting.
